Built in 1934, it is a half-size replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was constructed as part of a recreation park for employees of the Ilg Hot Air Electric Ventilating Company of Chicago. It is located on Touhy Ave. in Nile, IL.
The famous ‘sunset pink’ building in Edgewater, the Edgewater Beach Apartments in Chicago’s far northside. This was part of a resort-hotel complex, paired with another larger building, a ‘sunrise yellow’ hotel that was closed in 1967 and later demolished.
